Vote Tuesday November 7, 2006'
Proposition 1C will provide emergency shelters for battered women, affordable homes for seniors and former foster youths, and shelters with social services for homeless families -- within existing resources -- without raising taxes.
(YES) ON PROPOSITION 1C: This state ballot measure will provide bond funding for affordable housing. This type of funding was used to rehab the Senator Hotel and will be used for 3 of CHP's new developments. This ballot needs to pass if funding for such programs is to continue.
(NO) ON PROSPOSITION 90: This state ballot measure will make it difficult if not impossible for local governments to enact land use regulations. If this passes, it means no rent control, no zoning laws and no development fees to build affordable housing.
(YES) ON PROPOSITION F: This local ballot measure will require businesses to provide workers with sick days.
PROPOSITION H: This is a local ballot measure that will require landlords to make it higher payments to tenants receiving a "no fault" eviction. Learn more about this important measure.
